Star Babies & Star Combo
Star Combo Classes
Brooklyn Dance Academy’s exclusive Brooklyn Star Babies & Star Combo choices are introductory dance classes that are unique and specific to your dancer's age, cognitive development, and ability.
Classes Available For:
(2-3 year olds) (3-4 year olds) and (4-56 year olds) with age-appropriate curriculum and entertaining components.
The success of our Star program is that it is structured, educational, and most of all FUN!!!! Your little one will dance ballet, tap and learn creative movement routines that are appropriate for their young age. Very large viewing windows keep parents and guardians able to view and listen to the entire class while keeping our youngest of dancers feeling comforted knowing their family just steps away.
Offering classes mornings, afternoons, evenings, & weekends - we hope you find a time that works with your family's schedule
Dressed in matching our adorable pink tutu dresses, our Brooklyn Star dancers look uniform and ready to rock the stage. $30 (includes tax) and is only available through purchase with us. Once registered, dancers are required to wear our Brooklyn Star tutu dress, which can be purchased in our office. Pink Ballet Shoes and Black Tap shoes are required.
Brooklyn Dance Academy's Pre Classes serves as a bridge from our Combo classes into the level 1 classes. Dancers in these pre classes either graduate from our Star Combo program or come to us for dance for the first time and fall into this age group, but are looking for a more focused, technical dance class on one genre instead of a combo class with tap and ballet. Our Pre Classes offer a more structured focus on one style in a 45 minute class. The design on our pre class is to have a dancer prepared for a level 1 placement within 6 months of enrolling in this pre class, although some dancers take up to a year for complete preparation. Offered in the following styles: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip Hop.
Dance Varieties offered for Ages 6-19
Dress Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes, and hair pulled back into a bun. (males dress in black)
Ballet is an artform that has been around since the Italian Renaissance of the 15th century and has been developed into a necessary foundation for so many other forms of dance. It is a beautiful combination of grace, skill, and strength that requires years of training to master and even more years of training to remain proficiency.

Dancers are taught Classic Ballet style of dance and terminology, while gaining the strength, flexibility, and confidence required to move to intermediate ballet instruction.
Ballet 2: Requires minimum 1 year of introductory ballet training, or upon approval from dance instructor. Here, dancers refine their technique & skills. They should be able to recall basic vocabulary and feet placement. Dancers move into more advance movement with the barre and freely. Leaps and Turns classes are a recommended compliment as wel
Ballet 3: Pre-Advanced Ballet Instruction & Requires Dual Enrollement in a Level 2 Ballet Class for the first 6 months. Additions to the class are by invitation only
